The Oklahoma Family Network (OFN) Family-to-Family Health Information Center

A center which is devoted to family centered care and one-to-one support for families of children with special health care needs and disabilities. OFN informs and connects individuals with special health care needs and disabilities, their families and professionals to services and supports in their communities. OFN supports families in navigating the maze of health care and other supports, and provides opportunities to strengthen your community through leadership development and volunteering

The Oklahoma Parents Center

The Oklahoma Parents Center is a statewide parent training and information center serving parents of children with disabilities whose goal is to educate and support parents, families and professionals in building partnerships that meet the needs of children and youth with the full range of disabilities ages birth to 26

The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD)

OCECD’s programs help parents become informed and effective representatives for their children in all educational settings. In addition, youth are assisted to advocate for themselves. Through knowledge about laws, resources, rights and responsibilities, families are better able to work with agencies to ensure that appropriate services are received.

Family Voices of Ohio

Family Voices aims to achieve family-centered care for all children and youth with special health care needs and/or disabilities and to assure high quality comprehensive, affordable, community-based, culturally competent, family centered health care to all children, but especially those with special needs

Special Needs Resource Directory of Southwest Ohio

Special Needs Resource Directory of Southwest Ohio, developed by the Center for Infants and Children with Special Needs at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, includes information on issues related to advocacy, assistive technology, community services, dental care, education, employment, estate and future planning, financial assistance, guardianship, home health care, mental health, MR/DD services, nutrition resources, summer programming, therapies, transition issues, transportation, and wish-granting organizations.

The Pathfinder Parent Center

The Pathfinder Parent Center helps families and schools understand the nature and needs of a child's condition, get information on how to parent children with special needs, work together to create individualized education programs, establish positive home/school communication, participate in educational decision-making processes, and support parents.

Family Voices of North Dakota

A health information and education center for families who have children with special health care needs: disability, chronic illness, physical or mental health conditions. Through this national network, Family Voices provides families tools to make informed decisions, advocates for improved public and private policies, builds partnerships among professionals and families, and serves as a trusted resource on health care.

Family Support Network of North Carolina (FSN-NC)

A division of the Family Support Program at UNC School of Social Work (http://fsp.unc.edu), the FSN-NC promotes and provides support for families with children who have special needs by putting you in touch with other parents with similar experiences, providing a "listening ear,” helping you become a volunteer Support Parent and connecting you to resources in your community. All services are free and confidential.
