I’ve been a journalist for more than 20 years. I have lived and worked in South Africa, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Thailand, and have written for and edited numerous publications worldwide, including the Sunday Times of London and Newsweek (for which I was the Thailand correspondent). Now home in New Hampshire, my work has appeared in a diverse range of online and print publications, including Purple Clover, NYMetroParents, Bright, Grown & Flown, Fit Pregnancy, Glamour, Marie Claire, the Guardian, and the Washington Post (both in the On Parenting and Solo-ish columns). I’m a regular contributor to On Parenting, and my first piece for the publication, “Daddy’s Home,” went viral in August 2016 and was one of the most-read stories that year. I often write about parenting issues, much of it based on my experience as a Solo Mom raising two wonderful and exasperating teenagers. I look back on my pregnancies with a mixture of nostalgia and awe that I produced these two precious human beings, and I’m passionate about supporting other moms in their journeys. It takes a village, right?
