The Parent Information Center (PIC)

The Parent Information Center (PIC) is a recognized leader in building strong family/school partnerships. PIC provides information, support, and educational programs for parents, family members, educators, and the community. PIC is a pioneer in promoting effective parent involvement in the special education process.

The University of Montana Rural Institute

Works to improve the skills, abilities, and quality of life of people with disabilities in rural communities, including their families and those who serve and support them. Major activities include: providing training of personnel who serve and educate individuals with disabilities and their families; research and evaluation to assist people with disabilities to lead healthy, productive lives in their communities; community supports and services including training and technical assistance; dissemination of information to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families living in rural areas.

The Ollie Webb Center

The Ollie Webb Center’s mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through support, programs and advocacy; Offering a lifetime of support and assistance, from diagnosis to education and beyond.

Bayou Land Families Helping Families

A non-profit family resource center. They are a group of families who, through our own experiences, promote peer support and advocacy and are committed to alleviating hardships of other families who have members with disabilities or special needs.

PACER Center

PACER Center expands opportunities and enhances the quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities and their families. PACER is staffed primarily by parents of children with disabilities and works in coalition with 18 disability organizations. Assistance to individual families, workshops, materials for parents and professionals, and leadership in securing a free and appropriate public education for all children.

Voices For Children

Support and programs for all ages across Tennessee, with major offices in Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville.

The Arc of Morgan County

Offers direct programs for families and individuals affected by developmental disabilities while also providing direction on where specific services may be found.

Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services

State and federal programs that provide a continuum of services from birth through life for Alabama residents with disabilities.
