Three Annoying Things People Say to Solo Moms (and How to Respond)

Three Annoying Things People Say to Solo Moms (and How to Respond)

Don’t give in to Solo Mom stereotypes. Fight back with these responses!

Annoying Comment: “I feel like a single mom; my husband’s away all week!”

Possible Response: “Do you also feel like a homeless person when you haven’t showered for two days and stand on a street corner holding your empty coffee cup?

Annoying Comment: “Is the dad involved in your lives?

Possible Response: “Oh, he was actively involved when he got me pregnant.”

Annoying Comment (accompanied by slow head shaking): “I don’t know how you do it!”

Possible Response: “Booze, pills, and sarcasm.”
