Limerick of an Independent Parent
A single mom . . . ? Not me!
Sounds sad and silly, you see
I made a choice
in my own voice
to parent independently.
Miriam became a mom when she was 48 years old and WuQing (pronounced WooChing) had just turned 6 months in Wuhan, China. Miriam writes and currently teaches reading in East Harlem, NYC.
