Reese Witherspoon: Support No Matter What

Reese Witherspoon: Support No Matter What

After separating from first husband Ryan Phillippe in 2006, actress Reese Witherspoon endured a rough spell. In a recent 60 Minutes interview, she notes that she spent “a few years just trying to feel better. You know, you can’t really be very creative when you feel like your brain is scrambled eggs.” As she faced divorce and the stresses of being a Solo Mom to kids Ava and Deacon, Witherspoon’s career suffered critical and box-office flops. “I don’t think I recognized how anxious I was about being a single parent,” she told Marie Claire magazine. “It’s not easy on anybody.” In 2011, Witherspoon married Hollywood talent agent Jim Toth; they have a son together. Honored at Elle’s Women in Hollywood gala in 2013, Witherspoon spoke of her kids, noting that “whatever they want to do with their lives, whatever dreams they have, I support them.”
