The PEAL Center serves families of children with disabilities and special health care needs. It provides information and training on education in Western and Central Pennsylvania, and on healthcare needs and support services statewide for parents and friends of children with disabilities, educators, health care and community service providers, and advocates. The PEAL Center helps families and individuals with disabilities in a variety of ways: Parent Advising, Trainings, Newsletters & Publications and an Annual Conference.

HUNE is a not for profit organization that provides free bilingual English and Spanish training, technical assistance and individual assistance to parents of infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities and to professionals who work with children. HUNE works to improve educational outcomes for children and youth with all disabilities (emotional, learning, mental, and physical) from 0-26 years of age. HUNE provides many kinds of programs such as Early Intervention, Advocacy and outreach, and Compensatory Education Youth Program

P2P Pennsylvania is the largest mentoring program in the state for families who have children or adults with disabilities or special needs. We match families together on a one-to-one basis with a Peer Supporter for purposes of emotional support and information. Parent to Parent of PA can match for physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, special health care needs, behavioral/mental health concerns, foster care or adoption and educational issues.
