This is a grassroots organization for LGBDTQI (and intersex) civil rights and advocacy, seeking social and political equality. They lead efforts for fairness and equality at the state level. The site provides action alerts, a blog, and press releases. There is also a place on the website to file a complaint and view discrimination reports.

LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana


This projects collects, archives, and preserves LGBT+ historical materials; provides an information directory of archival resources where such materials may be deposited or accessed for research and study; maintains a list of locations of archived GBT+ materials, and supports their preservation and archival work by raising financial resources. The site offers a list of locations where such archives are housed, a bibliography, a blog, and a Facebook group link.

Louisiana Queer Conference

The LQC provides leadership development, networking opportunities, and social support for LGBTQ college students and their allies in Louisiana. The conference provides an annual venue for individuals to discuss ideas and collaborate on projects while building a statewide network to advance the LGBTQ movement.

EQME EqualityMaine


This organization works for full equality for LGBTQ people throughout the state of Maine. It engages in political action, community organizing, education, and collaboration. The organization advocates for trans equality, marriage equality, legislative priorities, rural organizations, adoption, non-discrimination, and youth. The webpage has sections for news, event, and resources.

LGBT Community Center of New Orleans

The center provides resources and advocacy that foster community development and social and economic justice efforts on behalf of LGBTQ people. This center offers information on educational, recreational, and social opportunities. It has a library and a resource directory open to submissions.

MaineTransNet or Maine Transgender Network

This organization educates the public about gender identity, seeking to raise awareness about the varied forms of gender expression. It provides resources to the trans community of Maine as well as consultation, education and trainings to social service/mental health professionals and interested others. They also offer private consultation and support to trans individuals and the people in their lives.There are also information resources on the website for transgender individuals.

The GLCCB: GLBT Community Center of Baltimore and Central Maryland


The center runs programs for women, men, transgender persons, youth and young adults, health and wellness and recovery issues. They offer a cybercenter, advocacy, HIV/STD testing,

Equality Hawaii Foundation


The foundation nurtures opportunities for education and discussion on issues facing the LGBT community and vehicles from which to empower LGBT people and their allies. The foundation has an extensive online resource list and events page and offers a local, national and world news page.

Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation

This organization offers general support to the LGBTQ community of Hawaii and offers some resources for community connections and engagements on its website.

Gay Florida

This site offer travel information specific to LGBTQ visitors to Florida. It has city-specific information, a director, advertising opportunities, and a membership portal. One can learn about LGBTQ-related news around the state.
