Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) is a program to support quality child care throughout the state of Iowa. CCR&R helps families select child care providers who best meet the needs of a child and their family.

Child Care Resources Inc. is a private, non-profit child care resource and referral agency that works with families and communities to ensure that all children have access to high quality, affordable early learning and school-age opportunities and experiences that enable them to succeed in school and in life.
The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is the part of DHS that investigates child abuse; finds foster homes for abused and neglected children; helps low income, out-of-work parents get back on their feet; assists with childcare costs for low income parents who are working or in job training; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help troubled families.
Bright from the Start oversees a wide range of programs focused primarily on children ages birth to school age and their families.
