Welcome to Shoreline Workforce Development Services, the education, training and employment division of Goodwill Industries of Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties. We provide workforce development services designed to assist people with barriers to employment as they maximize the use of their abilities in the competitive labor market. We also assist people who may be vocationally disadvantaged due to changes in the labor market, job loss, etc. Our services include evaluation, situational assessment, vocational exploration, classroom and on-the-job training programs, placement assistance and supported employment. Our goals are to work with participants’ abilities rather than their barriers to employment. We provide a positive learning environment to assist people to acquire skills for competitive employment

Goodwill® Industries of Colorado Springs is now offering complimentary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses to its welfare-to-work clients. In an effort to place Goodwill clients on a path to self-sufficiency through a healthcare career, Goodwill has partnered with Centennial Nurse Aide Training Program to create the CNA program. The eight-week course includes class and lab instruction, hands-on clinical training and experience at Goodwill day programs serving individuals with special needs. The first class of nine students was selected from 90 applicants through an arduous pre-screening to ensure their success. Graduation from the program, State of Colorado board certification and job placement with healthcare providers is planned for September.
